As we lay the foundation for a hub of sailing, rowing and community engagement we invite you to join us on this journey to create a legacy for Hobsonville Point and beyond.

  • Background

    We are proud to share the new marine centre based in Catalina Bay, Hobsonville Point.

    This has been a joint project, brought together and delivered by:

    - The Hobsonville Yacht Club

    - The Westlake Boys Rowing Club

    - Hobsonville Point Residents Society

    - Kianga Ora

  • Facility Features

    The multi-purpose marine centre will serve the rapidly growing North West sector of the city. Facilities include:

    - Boat storage and landing facilities to support Rowing, Dinghy Sailing, SUP's and more.

    - Restaurant and bar facilities with a generous balcony overlooking the water (due to open in September 2026)

    -Event spaces and meeting rooms for community use and special events.

  • Local Communities

    The Centre will host a variety of marine activity groups including;

    - Dinghy Sailing

    - Rowing

    - Small water craft, SUP amongst others.

    The centre will also provide youth training and education programmes, promoting health and wellbeing and fostering an appreciation and understanding of the marine environment.
